1-The property is advertised as "No Pets." The property has multiple, uncontrolled dogs that bark aggressively at guests throughout the night. I was unable to walk to the common area after dark due to this. This is a critical safety and truth-in-advertising failure. 2-The location is extremely remote. Ride-hailing apps (Bolt/Grab) do not operate on the island. You are at the mercy of the local taxi/tuk-tuk cartel, which charges exorbitant rates (e.g., 700 THB for a 5-minute ride I was quoted). Hotel staff may help, 300 baht one way for a five minute ride. 3- More critically, there is a profound lack of management or security. A guest with a known history of disruptive behavior (police had been called on him previously for noise) was allowed to stay and continued to blast music late into the night, disturbing all guests. The staff, beyond one overworked elderly woman, were either absent or demonstrated open hostility towards guests. The owner's family found it "amusing" when their dogs chased guests. 4-I checked out after three nights of a seven-night booking. The property, unsurprisingly, refused any refund for the unused four nights, despite the fundamental breaches described above. WHO THIS IS FOR: This property is for the extremely adventurous traveler who does not require safety, quiet, honesty, security, reasonable access, or professional service. It is a remote cluster of bungalows with no management, no oversight, and no concern for guest welfare. WHO THIS IS NOT FOR: Anyone seeking a relaxing holiday. Anyone with mobility issues. Anyone who values their time, money, or peace of mind. Families. Solo travelers, especially women. Anyone who believes a business should honor its basic advertised promises. Book at your own peril.
